Sport 1 Geilo is a company with long traditions, the store's establishment goes all the way back to 1924. The company has naturally changed both name and uniform in step with development, and for the first 50 years it was Harald Joacimsen from Bergen who was responsible for establishment, operation and ownership. In 1975, Asle Sjåstad took over the business, his daughter Randi Sjåstad took over in 1995 together with her husband, which was then called Intersport AS. In 2008 it was time for something new and Intersport Geilo became Sport 1 Geilo AS. Randi Sjåstad is still part of the operation together with Vidar Nyhus, Lars Brataker and Øystein Hovland. The company is constantly developing and they focus on broad expertise. The employees have experience from various sports and a personal interest in outdoor life. This reflects the selection in the store.
