National Park Days

In honor of Hallingskarvet and Hardangervidda!

Geilo is a National Park Village and therefore organizes the National Park Days every year. For two weeks, the program offers a varied offer with mountain hikes, dining experiences and much more in honor of the national parks. These are just some of the activities that take place in Geilo and near the two national parks Hardangervidda and Hallingskarvet. Also take the opportunity to take a (bike) trip to one of the many cozy restaurants in the mountains.
1 August - 10 August 2025

National Park Days - A green event

  • Geilo is a Sustainable Destination, Visit Geilo AS is an Eco-Lighthouse company and the National Park Days is a Green event!
  • We must document to the Eco-Lighthouse Foundation that requirements for the working environment, purchasing, energy, transport, waste, emissions and aesthetics are met.
  • We would encourage everyone to use public transport, carpooling or to take their feet or bike to, from and during the National Park Days, where possible. For the journey to and from Geilo, we recommend taking the train or bus. Check the website or app www.entur.no for departures.
  • We can also recommend the En-tur app for information about timetables on all types of public transport.
