Groven Fjellgård

The courses consist of theory, lunch and practical fishing. The goal of the courses is to learn basic casting technique, knots, choosing flies, etc. After completing the course, the participants should have enough knowledge to go fly fishing alone.

Experience exclusive high mountain fishing for mountain trout. Over many years, both nationally and internationally, the guides have built up a high level of expertise in fly fishing. With this expertise and good local knowledge, they can teach the joys and secrets of fly fishing, regardless of whether the participants are beginners or experts. The season lasts from mid-June to September, with stable hatches of mayflies and spring flies of various varieties. All the lakes are cultivated, and catch and release is mostly practiced.

Groven Fjellgård has beautiful areas with several high-lying mountain lakes, access to boats and rivers only 10 minutes from Geilo center. The farm is located high and free on the sunny slope – 930 meters above sea level with a view of Skurdalen, Hardangervidda and Hallingskarvet.
