Local Museums
Scattered throughout Hol Municipality, you'll find several local museums showcasing collections of old farmhouses.
In the summer, you can visit these museums and explore the buildings both inside and out. Hol Bygdemuseum features a small indoor museum with historical objects and exhibits. Dagali Bygdemuseum typically hosts a summer exhibition. Geilojordet, centrally located in Geilo, is open year-round, unlike the others. All these local museums are part of Hallingdal Museum.
Geilojordet
Geilojordet is a gem located near Geilo town center, with convenient parking close by, making it easily accessible for everyone. Admission to Geilojordet is free. Here, you'll find traditional Norwegian structures like stabbur (storehouses) and a play area for children. Hikers can gather information about the local nature from the informational signs on site. During the summer, there is also a café serving refreshments and a storytelling theater at Geilojordet.
