SkiGeilo Bike Camp (Ages 9–14)

Do you love biking and want to become more confident on your mountain bike? At our Bike Camp, you'll develop your skills in cornering, line choice, riding at higher speeds, and safe jumping techniques. Enjoy a weekend full of progression, exciting challenges, and a real sense of achievement—designed for young riders who are ready to take their mountain biking to the next level.

This summer, you'll have a unique opportunity to improve your mountain biking skills at the SkiGeilo Bike Camp. The group is limited to just 10 participants, ensuring personal coaching and the best possible learning experience.

SATURDAY PROGRAM – Building the Basics, Trail Confidence & First Chairlift Rides
09:30 – 10:00 Welcome & Bike Check: Meet at the base of the Vestlia chairlift. We'll check tires, brakes, and helmets before introducing ourselves and going through the day's plan.

10:00 – 11:15 Cornering Skills in Practice: Slalom exercises between cones. Learn how to lean and push the bike independently through corners for better control and confidence.

11:15 – 12:00 Speed Without Pedaling: Pump track and nearby trails. Learn how to generate speed by using your body movements and the terrain.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch Break: We'll prepare a cozy campfire area where everyone can relax, grill their own food, and enjoy lunch together. Food can also be purchased at the Basecamp Restaurant.

13:00 – 16:00 First Chairlift Session – Flow Motion: Ride the Flow Motion trail in shorter sections with plenty of breaks for coaching, feedback, and recovery along the way.

SUNDAY PROGRAM – Balance, Flow Trails & Camp Finale
09:30 – 10:00 Fun Bike Games: Group warm-up on the grass with balance challenges such as "Snail Race" and "Last Rider Standing."

10:00 – 10:30 Bunny Hops & Skills: Practice wheelies, stoppies, and bunny hops to build confidence, improve bike handling, timing, and precision on flat ground.

10:30 – 12:00 Jump Academy: Progressive jump lines at the base area. Learn body position and air control through proper take-off and landing techniques.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch Break: We'll once again gather around the campfire where participants can grill their own food and relax together. Food is also available for purchase at the Basecamp Restaurant.

13:00 – 15:30 Chairlift Session – Jump Train & Trail Variety: Group riding on the Flow Motion trail with optional side jumps, or technical riding on the Anakonda trail for those ready for a greater challenge.

15:30 – 16:00 Camp Closing & Ice Cream Celebration: Informal diploma ceremony at the base, celebrating effort, progress, and great memories—followed by a well-deserved ice cream!

Important Information:
All participants must wear a helmet and bring a water bottle.
We recommend bringing a small snack.
Restrooms are available close to the activity area.
Participants must either bring their own bike or collect a pre-booked rental bike from the Ski Rental before the camp begins.
All participants must be able to ride a bicycle independently without training wheels. They should be able to start, pedal, and ride on their own.
