Hallingstuene - Winemakers dinner Friday

Hallingstuene is a well-known restaurant run by the chef couple Frode and Berit. It serves traditional Norwegian food with a focus on local ingredients and authentic flavors. During the event Stetten Wine Festival, they offer a Winemaker's Dinner on Friday 26 September in collaboration with winemaker Matthieu Barret from the Rhône in France.

Dinner starts at 7:00 PM, featuring a special guest appearance by Lise Finckenhagen (known as "Kokke-Lise") and wines from Matthieu Barret, owner of Domaine du Coulet in the Rhône Valley, France. The estate will be represented by Christophe Mingeaud.

Founded in 1998 by Matthieu Barret, Domaine du Coulet spans 10 hectares in the Cornas appellation, planted on ancient terraces facing east. The terroir in Cornas is truly unique, consisting of ancient, highly weathered granite formations known as “gore.” Matthieu Barret maintains low yields, never exceeding 25 hl/ha, and with a cultivation approach that respects the environment and the natural balance of the vines, he aims to create authentic wines with strong personality.

Menu for the evening
Lobster and crab soup
This year’s lamb with seasonal vegetables and lamb sauce
Apple tart with homemade vanilla ice cream

Menu with wine pairing from Matthieu Barret: NOK 1945,-
