Vikingfestial Fagerheim Fjellstugu

NEW! From Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 20th, the Viking Festival will take place at Fagerheim Fjellstugu on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. Archery demonstration, handcrafts, storytelling, Viking games for all ages, blacksmithing, live music, historical guided tours and much more…

From July 18th to 20th, a Viking festival will be held at Fagerheim Fjellstugu on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau.

Fagerheim is located right by National Road 7, the scenic tourist route between East and West, with heavy tourist traffic during the period the market will take place. Entrance to the market will be free, so we expect large crowds of visitors—an excellent opportunity to sell goods. The market will also be historic, as it takes place above the tree line.

The area has a rich history, with evidence of reindeer hunting going back more than 3,000 years. National Road 7 is built along the original travel route between East and West, and many Vikings have walked this very path.
