Summer Evening with Erik Lukashaugen
Join us for the first Summer Evening Concert of the year featuring Erik Lukashaugen at Hol gamle kyrkje on Tuesday, July 7 at 8:00 PM.
The first artist in this year’s Summer Evening in the Old Church concert series is the singer-songwriter Erik Lukashaugen. Hailing from Elverum, he is one of Norway’s busiest performing artists, giving around 100 concerts each year.
Lukashaugen found his musical voice through his encounter with the poetry of Hans Børli. Since then, he has earned recognition for his musical interpretations of poetry, as well as for his own lyrics and melodies, which draw strongly on Norwegian folk music and the singer-songwriter tradition.
His debut album, Av en sliters memoarer (Memoirs of a Toiler, 2013), was met with critical acclaim and earned him the Regnbågåbrua award. He has since released several highly regarded albums, including Tel si ega tid, Finnskogvegen, Det vi rakk, and Midt på treet (2024). In 2025, he released Bumerke, featuring new songs based on texts by the poet Einar Skjæraasen.
