Stolpejakten at Geilo – a special winter map for the whole family!

In connection with Biathlon Season Opening (14–16 November) and the ASKO Cup/SpareBank 1 Cup (28–30 November), Geilo Sti- og Løypelag invites everyone to take part in a fun and family-friendly activity: a unique November Stolpejakten map!

What is Stolpejakten?
Stolpejakten is a popular Norwegian concept that combines hiking with a digital treasure hunt. The goal is to find checkpoints (“stolper”) spread out along a route or in an area. Each stolpe has a QR code you can scan using the free Stolpejakten app, available for both iOS and Android. By scanning the codes, you register your visit, collect points, and can even compare your progress with friends or family. oversett til norsk

Bring your family, friends, or teammates – and experience Geilo in a new and active way while you are here for the biathlon events. We hope that many – both locals and visitors – will enjoy finding the stolper, soaking up the winter atmosphere, and joining us for the very first winter edition of Stolpejakten at Geilo.

The map is available from 7 November to 7 December 2025, offering a 3.5 km route that takes you through the beautiful surroundings of Slåttahølen, past Geilo Ski Stadium, and into the village center. Along the way, you will discover 16 checkpoints (called “stolper”).
