Always the last weekend in September it is time for Stetten, a Wine Festival in the mountains. Weekend from Friday 26 to Sunday 27 September 2025! the wine festival in the mountains, since 2014.
Since 2014, the last weekend of September has been reserved for the annual wine festival in Geilo. Join us this year as well!
As in the past ten years, we invite you to a weekend full of taste experiences, with a wine walk on Friday and a wine fair on Saturday.
On Friday and Saturday evening, you can attend the Winemaker’s Dinner, along with other exciting wine events. There’s something for everyone. Follow updates on geilo.com for more information, where you can also book tickets for the wine walk and/or the fair.
Annual events in the autumn: Stetten Wine festival is held every year on the last weekend of September, making it an annual tradition to look forward to. Similarly, Norsk Matglede, a local food marked is celebrated on the first Saturday of October, aligning with the transition between Norway’s autumn holiday weeks 40 and 41.
WINE WALK
On Friday afternoon, the popular wine walk takes place in Geilo town center. You can choose between the original wine walk with five stops or a shorter version with three stops and wine tasting.
When your group arrives at each stop, you’ll receive information about a specific wine selected by the importer, often with background details about the family business, the region, and more. You’ll of course taste this wine as well. Each stop is limited to 10 minutes, after which the group moves to the next stop. The walk between stops takes about 5 to 10 minutes. It may happen that some presentations will be given in English, but mostly in Norwegian. In addition, we are aiming to include one alcohol-free stop as part of the event.
Remember to book tickets in advance on geilo.com, as it may sell out. Meet at the tourist information center at 3:45 PM.

On Saturday, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, you can visit the wine fair in the large tent in Geilo town center, featuring a range of exhibitors. Buy tickets online at geilo.com or at the tent entrance on the day of the event. Visit different exhibitors to sample your favorite wines or try something surprising and new.
WINEMAKERS DINNER
