Geilo Has a Ski Center on Both Sides of the Valley and is Also Close to Several Other Great Centers

Based in Geilo, you have a good starting point for lots of skiing throughout the winter.

Here you will find 4 different ski resorts; Lia, Hallingskarvet, Dagali and Uvdal.

Alpine Skier

Hallingskarvet Ski Center

If you have a season ticket in Geilo, you also have a season ticket at Hallingskarvet Ski Center. The ski center is located north of Geilo in Sudndalen, on the other side of Hallingskarvet. You get here by car via the FV50 highway, through Hagafoss, Hol and Hovet. Hallingskarvet Ski Center is a ski eldorado for ski enthusiasts and is known for their long, wide, and well-groomed slopes with great variety. Here you will find fantastic off-piste opportunities, plenty of space, and a personal and authentic atmosphere that suits everyone.

The ski center has an elevation difference of 510 meters and slopes of up to 3 km. The park has been developed in collaboration with X-Games winner, Andreas Håtveit, and the off-piste areas have for years been the play and training area for a number of Norway's best mountain Telemark and freeride athletes.

The ski center is also a good starting point for cross-country trails and boasts 110 km of cross-country trails.

Dagali Fjellpark

The ski center is a family-friendly ski resort with a t-hook and 5 long slopes, as well as a mogul slope with jumps and rails, and a fenced-off children's area with ski ropes that take you to the top of the children's slope. During the winter and Easter holidays, you will find great events for the little ones.

Dagali Fjellpark is known for one of Norway's longest sledding slopes. Here you can rent a sledding board and take the lift to the top. Take off down the newly-prepared slopes with fantastic views.

Lia Ski Center and sledding

Lia ski center is right next to the hotell. It has three ski tracks and its own sledding hill that goes for 1200 meters. The skilift is 750 meters long and an elevation of 160 meters. The skilift and the slopes are both family friendly, including the youngsters in the family. The ski center has its own sleds you can use, which is incredible fun for both children and adults. At the ski center you can rent skis, snowboard or snowshoes in addition to sleds.
