Bentestova in Oslo was established in 1964 by Bente and Marius Eriksen. On 14 December 2019, they opened a "mountain store" in Geilo, where they sell sports fashion for both women and men. Bogner, one of the store's main brands, has historical ties to Bentestova. Marius Eriksen, was in his time a high-profile person and skier, and the family were friends with the German ski star Willy Bogner, the founder of the company Bogner. He was inspired by the Marius sweater, and Bogner carried that legacy with him, every autumn/winter collection has some garments inspired by the Norwegian pattern.
