Opening of cross-country tracks in Geilo!

Geilo opened the ski slopes at the stadium as early as 1st of November with plenty of snow that has been stored throughout the summer. This has been a great success and reminds us that there is small fee for the use of the ski tracks. For reasons of safety and space, dogs or sleds are also not allowed on the floodlit trail.

Thanks to sponsorship contributions from Skue Sparebank and the Geilo Group for the snow storage from last winter, we had the trails ready as early as November 1st at Geilo Stadium. Everyone is free to dispose of the trails as they wished in return for a nice contribution via Vipps.

Trail contributions and prices

Trail access is purchased via Vipps #73945 and shown at the stadium (there will be security and spot checks). Training groups and teams can receive an invoice by contacting us by e-mail: [email protected] 

  • Day pass NOK 100 (valid for 24 hours)
  • Weekend pass NOK 250 (valid Fri-Sun)
  • Weekly pass NOK 500 (valid from date of purchase and one week ahead)

All volunteers engaged in connection with various competitions at the stadium are exempt from trail fees. 

Stand space is reserved for Geilo IL and NTG Geilo, but visiting teams or individual athletes are also welcome. Printers must be pre-booked on [email protected] and lists of assigned targets are published weekly on geiloil.no.

The early snow is a joint effort - the more people who support the scheme, the better we can ensure good early skiing conditions! 

Everyone are welcome on the slopes

Everyone are very welcome to use the tracks as they wish. We offer several different loops, with lengths up to 5 km per lap. The snow conditions are good, and have been made for both classic and skating.

For active athletes

Shooting range is reserved for Geilo IL and NTG Geilo, but visiting teams or individual athletes are also welcome. Targets must be pre-booked on [email protected] and lists of allocated shooting targets is published weekly on Geilo IL's website.
