Mountain Food Festival at Torsetlia

Fjellmatfestivalen is one of the region’s largest food festivals and one of Norway’s biggest events celebrating wild-caught fish and rakfisk. Meet the producers and buy rakfisk directly from them. First held in 2005, Fjellmatfestivalen focuses on local ingredients and products from the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. The festival is always held on the third weekend of November.

The Rakfisk Festive Dinner, featuring the election of the People’s Favourite Rakfisk Producer, and the Fjell’s Gourmet Buffet are two of the weekend’s highlights.

Friday:
Fjell’s Gourmet Buffet at 7:30 PM

Saturday:
Sale of local products, including rakfisk, other local food products and handicrafts, from 11:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Presentation on the history of Lågen Akevitt and election of the People’s Favourite Akevitt at 12:00 PM
Fjell’s Gourmet Lunch at 1:00 PM
Rakfisk Festive Dinner and election of the People’s Favourite Rakfisk at 7:30 PM
