Hol Turlag - Canoe rental

Park at Geilo Beach. The canoes are located in a small boathouse east of Geilo Beach. The boathouse is marked with a green hiking sign with a canoe symbol and "Hol Turlag."

Boats, paddles, and life jackets must be neatly returned to the boathouse, and the key should be delivered to the tourist information or Visit Geilo in Geilo center. If the key needs to be delivered outside opening hours, this must be arranged directly with the tourist information staff.

Wildlife:

Many birds, including whooper swans and horned grebes, have nested and raised their young along the shores of Veslefjorden in recent summers.
Canoeing and other close activities on the water scare the adult whooper swans away from their young.
We therefore ask that you move the canoe to the beach area and paddle on Ustedalsfjorden to give the birds peace and quiet. This area is also larger and better suited for paddling.
