Guided Cultural Heritage Hike with Local Guide Torstein Seim
Join us for a fascinating journey through the history of Hardangervidda, August 8th.
We start at the Sami turf huts at Lappestein at 11:00 a.m. and hike along Store Krækkja to Halne. The walk takes approximately 5 hours through easy terrain.
Along the way, we will visit ancient hunting systems, pitfall traps, and historical settlements, and learn about a history that stretches back thousands of years.
A delicious dinner awaits at Halne before transportation back to the Sami turf huts.

Every day during National Park Days, we serve our special National Park Menu at Halne Fjellstugu from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Enjoy crispy pan-fried trout from Lake Halne, followed by cloudberry soup served with coffee and homemade ice cream—a delicious taste of the Norwegian mountains.
