Geiloark

Geiloark is a local architectural office in Geilo established in 2016, which has good expertise and extensive experience in construction in Hallingdal. The company knows old and new techniques, and who believes in the value of preserving old structures as part of our culture, history and heritage.

In Geilo, we live and work in one of Norway's 5 national park villages, designated by the Norwegian Environment Agency in 2008.

Geilo is a natural gateway to Northern Europe's largest high mountain plateau, Hardangervidda and the mighty Hallingskarvet. Living and working as architects in these surroundings obliges and inspires. With a good team of local craftsmen, with long experience of working in the high mountains, we want to create a modern site-adapted architecture.

An architecture that takes care of the landscape, that takes into account climatic conditions and that creates spaces that affect us positively and mean something to us.

With this vision, Geiloark finds good solutions, with respect for both the past and the future.
