Dagalidagan festival 2026
Dagali-dagan festival is an yearly event in the mountain village of Dagali, all arranged by local people.
FRIDAY, JULY 18
10:00 AM –LOCAL HISTORY HIKE
Meet at 9:30 AM at Dagali Bridge for carpooling, or at "Skilletreet" in Seterdalen around 10:00 AM.
Bring your own packed lunch and drinks. The hike is approximately 6 km in total. Good hiking footwear is recommended.
Erling Bjørkheim will guide the hike, sharing stories about life at Lågliberget throughout history and showing the area's ancient hunting systems, pitfall traps, iron production sites, and bloomery furnaces.

6:00 PM – RELAXING RIVER FLOAT ON THE NUMEDALSLÅGEN
A peaceful river trip suitable for all ages. The route will be adjusted according to the water level.
Advance booking is required by July 15 via seriousfun.no or [email protected].
Price: NOK 350 per person.
Limited number of places. The trip will only take place if there are enough participants.

11:00 AM – 4:30 PM – MARKET DAY BY THE VILLAGE STORE
Enjoy a variety of exhibitors offering arts and crafts, handmade products, local food, cheeses, herbs, eggs, and more.
The Roosted Roast Café will be open throughout the day.
2:00 PM & 3:00 PM –MOUNTAIN CART AT DAGALI SKI CENTRE
Experience an exciting ride down the slopes on a three-wheeled mountain cart.
Duration: approximately 1 hour
Suitable for ages 12+ (minimum height 150 cm)
Good walking shoes required.

6:00 PM – CONCERT AT DAGALI CHURCH
The vocal group Sukettene will perform an evening concert in Dagali Church.
Known for their beautiful melodies, close harmonies, and warm, playful interpretations, Sukettene captivate audiences with music that touches the heart while getting your feet tapping.

All historic buildings will be open with local guides.
Dialogue exhibition in the Kjønaas Storehouse.Textile exhibition featuring artists Birgit Hagen and Brynhild Slåtto. Traditional games for children and adults The Jan Groth Book Cabin, offering books by Jan Groth
Free admission.
12:00 PM – OUTDOOR CHURCH SERVICE WITH FOLK MUSIC LITURGY
Held at Dagali Museum.

A collection will be taken in support of parish work.
After the service, the Dagali Women's Association will serve traditional Norwegian sour cream porridge with cordial, cakes, coffee, and tea.
2:00 PM –LECTURE IN THE OLD SCHOOLHOUSE
Bjørn Ole Hovda will give a presentation about Uvdal Stave Church.
His book about Uvdal Stave Church will also be available for purchase.
