That's why we want the pre-Christmas weekend to be about relaxing and just enjoying yourself, and what's better than taking the train directly from either Bergen or Oslo? It is not without reason that the Bergen Railway is called one of the world's most beautiful train journeys.

Christmas market and shopping - We recommend taking the trip through the city centre. From the end of November you can experience a cozy Christmas market. The pedestrian street will be decorated with Christmas decorations, lit up and small, cozy sales stalls will be open every Saturday until Christmas. The same weekend that the Christmas market opens, it is also the winter opening at Geilo, and the shops have very good prices on everything you need for winter and Christmas shopping!
A trip to the ski slope which will hopefully open at the beginning of December and one or more pre-Christmas concerts!
