How to get here - Geilo is located in the mountains midway between Oslo and Bergen. From Oslo it is approx. 220 km and from Bergen approx. 244 km by car. The easiest and fastest way to get to Geilo is to take a train, the train runs directly from both Oslo and Bergen stations. In addition, the Bergen Railway is one of the world's most beautiful train journeys, what could be more romantic than that?

Lean back and come to a set table every night. Or rent a cozy cabin/apartment, light the fireplace and order take away!

Hiking - It can hardly be more romantic than the combination of autumn colors and magnificent views! Therefore, we can safely recommend the popular Prestholt tour from Prestholtseter. The reward awaits in the form of a fantastic view over Hallingskarvet and Hardangervidda from 1705 m.a.s.l. End the trip with a visit to Prestholtseter and try one of their specialities.
Rent a bike - A bike ride into Budalen is a great ride in scenic surroundings with a lovely view. The distance is 12 km round trip, which makes the trip manageable for the vast majority of people. A fantastic trip in scenic surroundings with a lovely view of Hallingskarvet. Pack your rucksack, bring a packed lunch and a hot drink in the thermos, stop at Vestreim and enjoy a romantic lunch. To make the trip less demanding, we can recommend renting an electric bike.
