Archaeoligical hike

Join a guided archaeoligical hike from Fagerheim Fjellstugu at the Hardangervidda.

GUIDED ARCHAEOLOGICAL HIKE
The trip takes about 4 hours. We follow the path marked in green on the map. The price is NOK 250.- per person. Minimum 10 participants.

Northern settlement is a hunting lodge complex with a large stone hut ruin and waste heaps with reindeer bones, in addition to a number of other cultural traces.

Middle settlement - A few meters from the water's edge are two marked, rounded, four-five meter high mounds of loose material

Southern settlement is a hunting lodge complex of a similar type to Northern settlement and is located on a wide, gently sloping, relatively stone-free plain. Here are two stone hut ruins with bone heaps and a number of other cultural monuments associated with these, including some small stone piles that have been interpreted as "fastenings" for temporary storage of meat, so that animals would not get hold of it.
