The summer lift takes you comfortably up into the mountains. A perfect starting point for trips into Hardangervidda or exciting cycling down the flow paths. At the top you get a fantastic view of Hallingskarvet and the beautiful nature! You can buy both single trips, day tickets and season tickets for the summer lift. We recommend that you buy a lift ticket and book activities such as cycling online before you arrive!

Why take the summer lift?

You are welcome to walk up, but the easiest and fastest is to take the chair lift in Vestlia to the top of Bjødnahovda 1056 m.a.s.l. Here the view over Hallingskarvet, Hallingskarvet National Park and Geilo is impeccable. The chairlift in summer is a perfect starting point for short and long trips into the National Park. Already 1.5 km into the mountain you will find the food service cabin, Hakkesesetstølen. Bjødnahovda is also an ideal starting point for the next stage, whether it consists of cycling down green or blue flow paths!

Tip! Take the round trip of approx. 8 km from Hakkesesetstølen to Birgthovda - perhaps Geilo's very best view?
