Why take the summer lift?

While you can certainly hike up, the quickest and most comfortable way to reach the top of Bjødnahovda (1056 masl.) is by taking the chairlift from Vestlia. From the summit, enjoy spectacular views of Hardangervidda National Park, Hallingskarvet National Park, and Geilo. The summer lift provides an ideal starting point for both short and long mountain hikes. Just 1.5 km into the mountain, you'll find Hakkesetstølen, a cozy serving cabin. Bjødnahovda is also ideal for further adventures into the mountains, or if you plan to ride down the green or blue flow trails!

Tip: Take the 8 km round trip from Hakkesetstølen to Birgithovda to experience one of Geilo's best viewpoints!
