Practical Information about Canyoning

Dagali Fjellpark provides all the necessary gear for canyoning, including helmets, wetsuits, shoes, and harnesses. For added comfort and warmth, it’s recommended to bring thermal underwear and wool socks to wear under the wetsuits. After your adventure, you’ll be transported back to Dagali Fjellpark, where you can enjoy a warm shower and a well-deserved lunch with hot drinks. Photos of your experience can also be ordered to capture and share your memories on social media. Remember to bring a waterproof camera, as mobile phones are not allowed during the activity.

For safety reasons, canyoning is not suitable for pregnant individuals, those under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or anyone with significant health issues such as heart, lung, back, or neck problems. The maximum weight limit for participants is 120 kg.

What is Canyoning?

Canyoning involves exploring river canyons and the exciting challenges they present. Join an adventurous journey through Ølmosjuvet, where you'll experience rappelling, sliding down natural rock slides, jumping into 4-meter deep pools, and swimming through the canyon. This area, a hidden gem rarely seen by many, is inaccessible without specialized equipment. The route stretches 1,200 meters with a descent of 145 meters, and the adventure takes between 2 to 5 hours, depending on the conditions.

Who is Canyoning Suitable For?

Canyoning is designed for individuals in good physical shape, as it is physically demanding. Participants must be able to swim and be over 14 years old. No prior experience is necessary, as you will receive thorough training and instruction from experienced guides. They will lead you safely through the canyon, ensuring you can fully enjoy the experience. Safety is a top priority, with guides being the first and last to rappel.
