Summer Art Exhibition in the old Ro Kro

Welcome to a vibrant and diverse art sale and exhibition at the historic Ro Kro, from July 26th to August 16th, 2025.

This summer, the beloved former hotel and inn at Geilo comes to life again – this time filled with color, creativity, and expression from 14 Norwegian artists, each with their own unique style. The exhibition features abstract and figurative works, photography on plexiglass, paintings made with plastic cards, Japanese-inspired pieces, and large-scale textile art such as rugs, tablecloths, and handmade bags.

We also welcome a dress designer and folk costume creator, bringing fashion and tradition into the art space. Many of the artists are experienced professionals who exhibit individually and produce artwork year-round.

This is a people’s gallery, open and welcoming to all generations. Works range in size from small (30x30 cm) to impressive large-scale pieces (up to 150x200 cm) – and everything is available for purchase.

Featured artists include:
Kathrine Aas, Marianne Sandstø, Vibeke Kralik Larsen, Kjersti Rahbek Hvamb, Anne Irene Rølandet Kretz, Else Holm, Solveig Kofstad Christiansen, Astrid Hæreid, Marianne Forbord, Eva Kristin Tvedt, photographer Bjørn I. Karlsen, Ingveig Jensen, Ada Behn, and Guro Lidahl.

Opening: Saturday, July 26th at 12:00
Open Wednesday to Saturday, from 12:00 to 17:00, until August 16th.

Old Ro Kro, Geilo
(Markveien 21, Grünerløkka – the gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025!)

Ro Kro was once a cherished gathering place at Geilo – a hotel and inn full of life and memories. Now, it offers a rare chance to revisit that warm atmosphere, this time through the lens of art and imagination.

Come by, experience the art, and maybe take a piece of it home. Welcome!
