Cross-country ski tracks at Geilo Stadium

We are so pleased to annouce that the cross-country ski tracks at Geilo Stadium will open as early as 1st of November with plenty of snow that has been stored throughout the summer. This has been a great success and reminds that there is a small fee for the use of the ski tracks. For safety and space reasons, dogs or sleds are also not allowed on the floodlit tracks.

Thanks to sponsorship contributions from Skue Sparebank and the Geilo Group for the snow storage from last winter, we had the tracks ready as early as November 1st at Geilo Stadium. Everyone is free to dispose of the trails as they wished in return for a nice contribution via vipps.

Track contributions and prices

Access to the cross-country tracks is purchased via Vipps #73945 and shown at the stadium (there will be security and spot checks). Training groups and teams can receive an invoice by contacting us: [email protected]

  • Day pass NOK 100 (valid for 24 hours)
  • Weekly pass NOK 500 (valid from date of purchase and one week ahead)

Students at NTG and members of Geilo IL and Geilo Sti og Løypelag, as well as all volunteers engaged in connection with various competitions at the stadium, are exempt from trail fees. The same applies to everyone under the age of 15.

Stands are reserved for Geilo IL and NTG Geilo, but visiting teams or individual athletes are also welcome. Printers must be pre-booked and lists of assigned targets are published weekly on geiloil.no.

The early snow is a joint effort - the more people who support the scheme, the better we can ensure good early skiing conditions!

Everyone are welcome on the slopes

Everyone are free to use the cross-country tracks as they wish. We offer several different circular tracks, with lengths up to 5 km per lap. The snow conditions are good, and both classic and skating are facilitated.

For active athletes

Stand space is reserved for Geilo IL and NTG Geilo, but visiting teams or individual athletes are also welcome. Targets must be pre-booked on [email protected] and lists of assigned targets are published weekly on Geilo IL's website.
