Norwegian Food Marked 2024
Geilo is the arena for one of Norway's most important food events!
With a focus on small-scale production, organic ingredients and short-distance food, Norsk Matglede has consolidated its position as a communicator of Norwegian and local food traditions! We are proud to be able to invite you to a food party on the high mountains.
On Saturday there will be a local food marked in the center of Geilo, in the stores in Geilo you can expect good offers and nice products.
The market is open from 10.00 to 16.00, you will find stands trough the whole centre of Geilo. There will be different child activities as well, spread out.

Between 12 and 15 you can visit Herleiks/ Traktøren store to taste the famous Tuva waffles, made by Aileen.

Geilo is a Sustainable Travel Destination, Visit Geilo AS an Environmental Lighthouse Company and Norsk Matglede a Green Event! This means that we have a set of strict quality requirements for, among other things, all of our events
We must document to the Norwegian Lighthouse Foundation that requirements for the working environment, procurement, energy, transport, waste, emissions and aesthetics have been met.
We would like to encourage everyone to use public transport, carpool or to walk or cycle, from and during Norsk Matglede, where possible. For the journey to and from Geilo, we recommend taking the train. See information about timetables at VY.
Skigeilo has set up shuttle buses that will run between Kikut, the Vestlia lift, Havsdalskroa and the center of Geilo. See departure times here: https://www.skigeilo.no/skibuss-geilo.
We can also recommend the En-tur app for information on timetables for all types of public transport.
We want it to be easy for exhibitors and visitors to sort their waste at the source during Norsk Matglede, and encourage everyone to use the environmental station in the pedestrian street.
